 Shawn
was a Irish Setter whom I met shortly after I
graduated from veterinary school. In his youth,
I was told, he was a spunky rascal! Actually, I
first met Shawn when he was a bit older, but he
still had not lost his spunk. He always had a
smile on his face--and if your a dog person you
understand what I mean! Well, I believe it's
been almost a year since Shawn passed away. He
lived to a ripe old age and was a wonderful
companion to his "mom." She took
wonderful care of him. I will forever appreciate
her trust in me when I was his doctor. Shawn was
a friend whom I dearly miss. I cherish the times
we visited. It is because of owners with
companions like Shawn that make me glad everyday
that I became a veterinarian.
