SMALL MAMMALS
We regularly see small mammals for wellness care, injuries, illnesses, and dental problems. Since prey animals show very few obvious outward signs of illness, at least initially, we see all of our small mammal patients once a year for comprehensive health screening.

Each year we:
• Do a thorough physical exam
• Check a fecal sample to make sure your pet is not carrying any parasites
• Discuss any questions or problems with diet, behavior, and husbandry
We ask that you bring along picture of your pet's enclosure to your appointment. You can also email the pictures before the visit. For current patients up to date on all wellness care, we offer nail trimming.
Our clinic was designed and equipped with the needs of ALL patients in mind. Our surgery, pharmacy, and exam rooms all have the proper tools to treat most small mammal illnesses and injuries. We utilize Sevoflurane gas for procedures. This gas is considered by many to be the safest sedation, or anesthesia, for small mammals. We can also compound medications into palatable liquids so that small mammals will take it orally.
